The stages of learning to make music

Novice musician: not knowing WTF a sample (or anything) is (why are the Romans analyzing things)

Intermediate musician: spending all day on Reddit and YouTube taking in opinions on using samples, not realizing half the people on there know even less than you and are posting to avoid practicing

Advanced musician: 2TB and growing of quality, carefully curated and cleared samples because you recognize someone's already done all the stuff you want to do and it's better to take advantage so you can focus on assembling it and tying it together into something unique

I also just read Steal Like An Artist. Good book.
