I spent a long time thinking Being Human and Humans were the same show with a rename in the middle of its run, like Seaquest received in its time. It turns out Humans, at least the US version I watched, is Friends meets The Originals without the uncertainty about how they afford their apartment.
There are people who will tell you the UK version is superior. There are people who say that for every US remake. Sorry, I just can't seem to get into most UK media. I have the same problem with the anime that makes its way over here outside a few shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and Digimon. There is no accounting for taste, and that's okay.
